{Tag} Favourite iPhone Photography Apps

Favourite iPhone apps continued ...

PHOTOGRAPHY
I'm one of those people who downloads a tonne of apps in the photo/video category just to test them out. A lot of the times I forget to use them, so before doing this post a lot of them still said 'new' LOL. So i actually discovered some apps I quite fancy whilst going through all of them just now. Enjoy! ^^

MirrorCamera: A quick and easy app to flip photos around horizontally.
Squaready: An app that simply allows you to crop your photos into a square shape.
Diptic: My favourite frames app.

whitagram: (Left photo) Nice app to place photos onto a square template without cutting any of the photo out(not adjustable).
moreBeaute2: (Right photo) My go-to app for brightening photos. Makes a really nice difference! :)

Camera360: This app has SO MANY nice filters! The picture on the left shows all the categories available. I like how you can adjust the opacity of each effect using the bar shown in the right picture - even at zero, the amount of filter still looks nice on most effects.

Vintique: Another great app with lots of filters, frames, patterns, etc (Picture taken from a ViVi magazine).

Picfx: This app also has a lot of filters - I especially enjoy the bokeh/light effect and how you can adjust the opacity. There's an option to layer effects on top each other (the minus and plus sign buttons), you need to press these or else everytime you press on a new filter, it'll cancel the previous choice.(My friends dog in the pic ^^).

PhotoWonder: I only discovered how fun this app is today lolol. The 'Intelli beauty' option is hilarious! You use it to resize your eyes and chin - I gotta admit, when adjusting it to the right amount it looks quite natural! This app also applies eyeliner and blush pretty well, doesn't look overly fake. There's also stamps, filters, patterns, and frames.

PicsPlay Pro: This is another app that I've never used until today, and I actually really like it! It has heaps of filters which you can change the opacity of. It also has heaps of features like curves (which I always use on photoshop), histogram, vignetting, etc.

FotoRus: Another app I only started using today .. > < I really like the 'coffee' filter :)! (Picture taken from a Mina magazine).

Bokehful: My favourite bokeh app. You can change the colour combinations, and they have different shapes including circles, stars, hearts, and hexagons.

Retrica: This app doesn't allow you to upload any photos to edit. It captures photos using your chosen filter - my favourite is called 'Breeze', shown below. You can capture multiple photos in one timed shot which is heaps fun. Photos are auto saved into an album. Below was our first time trying out the app, so we didn't realise it'd take more than 1 shot lolol.

Rakuga Cute: An awesome app with tonnes of stamps just like a purikura (sticker) machine! I like how you can flip the stamps horizontally, and the resizing/repositioning feature is very user-friendly. You can purchase extra stamps in packages.

Photonia: A cute app where you can create collages using your own photos and stamps which they provide.

LINE camera: My favourite features of this app are the 'Antique' filter and the 'Moon & James' stamps, they're so cute!(Picture taken from ViVi magazine).

Other apps worth mentioning:
PS Express: A simple go-to app which includes a lot of basic photo features like cropping, brightness, black & white, etc.
Pudding Camera: This app allows you to mix and math different camera effects with different filters (like fish eye, panorama, motion).
CamWow: This was my favourite app for the longest time, I remember always using it when i first got my iPod. It has a bunch of photo booth effects which are really fun.
Photo Vault: An app that secures photos with a pass code.

That's all for now :) I hope i intro-ed you to some new photo apps, or encouraged you to go through some of your own to discovered new features that you never knew existed (like i did :P)
Thank you for reading~ have a great day! ^^

{Tag} Favourite iPhone Apps

Hiya :)

When I first got my iPhone I found these iPhone tags (on blogs and youtube) really helpful for discovering new apps. Hopefully this will intro you to some apps you may find useful. I'll list my photography apps in a separate post just cos I have quite a few haha.

BASIC APPS
Instagram (User name '12thofjuly'): Photo sharing app. My favourite filters are Amaro, Hudson, Valencia, X-Pro II, Brannan, Hefe, Nashville.
WhatsApp: Messaging app using data - great for group convos. I find that it drains battery pretty quickly, however it does give you the option to mute convos.
TripView: I don't think I can live without this app! It's basically a guide for transport in Sydney including trains, buses, ferries. It keeps you updated on current service information such as delays or track work, and also has maps and directions. There's a free version which has most of the features but doesn't remember the routes you type in. The paid version which is $2.99 keeps track of the types of transport and the route that you type in, so it's really convenient when you're in a hurry. The paid version is definitely worth it in my opinion :).

Shazam: This app listens to music and figures out the name and artist for you! It even works on non-english songs :D. I use this so often at the shopping centre, and when listening to the radio.

Other Apps worth mentioning:
Emoji: Provides a keyboard with a lot of different emoticons - really fun for messages.

Free Video: Downloads and stores youtube videos.
Virgin Mobile: Great for keeping up with voice and data usage for virgin customers.
Foursquare: A check-in app to keep up with where friends are.
Viber: Similar to whatsapp.

PRODUCTIVITY
Reminders: My most used and favourite default app! I find this app so simple yet useful for storing not only to-do lists, but you can also create your own lists like to-purchase, wish-list, new years resolutions, etc.

Toshl Finance: A REALLY useful finance app! Keeps track of expenses, income, and budgets. I only have the free version which doesn't allow for multiple incomes and budgets, but it's okay since you can just edit the one entry and keep adding to it (a new one starts each month). The monsters are also really cute!

Other Apps worth mentioning:
SomNote: A note taking app which allows for organisation in colour coded folders. You can also sync this app with other apple devices via iCloud.
SomTodo: By the same creators of SomNote - a checklist version.
RB Calendar: A calendar app where you can see what you wrote in small font when in month view.

LIFESTYLE
Ring Finder by Tiffany & Co: An app with a catalog of Tiffany & Co engagement rings. You can view each ring on different skin tones, change the amount of carats, and view prices.

OPI: A catalogue of OPI nail polish colours, where you can view painted nails on various skin tones.

GAMES
Diamond Dash: Favourite gaming app - very basic yet addictive, you just tap on places with three or more of the same coloured squares. Allows you to verse Facebook friends.

Candy Crush: Similar to the very famous Bejewelled. This app came out of nowhere and suddenly everyone on Facebook was addicted haha. There's so many levels to pass, I don't think I know anyone who's finished them all.

Other Apps worth mentioning:
Temple Run 1 & 2: Basically a running app where there's lots of objectives to pass in order to get a higher score multiplier.
Plants Vs. Zombies: Really fun app, you basically need to use plants to prevent zombies from entering your home. There are a tonne of plants and zombies with different powers and attack strategies.

TRIVIA
IQ: One of those brain teaser apps where you need to think outside the box. Really fun, but also annoying when you're stuck on a level for too long.
4 Pics 1 Word: A game where they give you clues with four pictures which you need to guess the one word which relates to all of them.

Other Apps worth mentioning:
LogoQuiz: A quiz game where they give you an unfinished picture of various logos/brands for you to guess.
IconPopQuiz: Similar to logo quiz but for famous individuals.

And that's about it!

Thank you for reading~ Stay tuned for my post on favourite photography apps :D

Wisdom Teeth: Surgical Removal Experience

Hey everyone ~ hope you's are all having a great day :)

Today was the day that I've been dreading for over a month - Wisdom teeth surgery! I am writing this post whilst lying in bed with a full on chipmunk face >_<.

The reason I got all 4 wisdom teeth out (which were all still inside the gum) was because my bottom 2 teeth were growing diagonally against the next tooth and were severely impacted, causing crowding in the front. The top 2 hadn't grown as big yet, but the surgeon encouraged me to remove those in this operation too, to prevent future crowding - and also to experience this tooth removal pain all at once instead of multiple times. I'm also getting braces soon to correct my crowding :).

Part of my X-ray

The pricing for this surgery was pretty $$$, but i 'shopped' around asking other dentists on their opinion and pricing, and many of them said I 100% needed to do the operation in hospital which would cost around $4000 :/. The dentist I ended doing the operation at had a surgeon who specially came in on Saturdays just for wisdom teeth removal. It cost me $2450 all up (450 just for sedation).

What happened throughout the day:

5:00am Ate breakfast
My appointment was booked for 11:30am, and I was told I had to fast for at least 6 hours before the surgery because of the sedation. I also could not drink water 4 hours before.

11:00am Arrived at the dentist
After filling in some forms, the surgeon and seditionist individually explained the procedure and risks very thoroughly. Such nice people! :)

11:30am Surgery time!
Firstly the seditionist stuck a needle drip in the crook of my elbow (He also mentioned my elbows are double jointed o.o). He then began injecting small amounts of the anaesthetic in, and I could feel the effects right away. I think within 30 seconds I passed out haha.

12:30pm Woke up
I woke up with 2 cotton gauzes in my mouth to bite on (to saturate the blood) which were quite comfortable. I remember feeling quite dizzy and kept dozing off. I recovered for around 30mins and was allowed to go home.

I was prescribed 2 pain killers, antibiotics, and a mouth wash (you can purchase it a bit cheaper with a healthcare card ^^). Either the surgeon did an extremely awesome job, or all these drugs are masking ALL the pain - because after resting for about an hour, I began to feel like myself again. I felt quite energetic and basically ate and Youtubed for the rest of the day :P. So far I've been eating congee, yoghurt, jelly, and watermelon ^_^.

I've developed the whole swollen chipmunk face and it's not pretty LOL. It looks EXACTLY like the chipmunk effect on mac Photo Booth hahaha! Luckily it's only the 3rd week of uni, so I won't miss out on too much this week for not attending, but the surgeon said I should be okay to go out in 3 days.

PM me if you'd like to know which dentist I went to (located in Sydney city), I highly recommend them :)

Hopefully I can just wait out the swollenness for the next few days without any pain... fingers crossed! :)

Thank you for reading~ Have a great night! ^^
