L'oreal Excellence Creme 6.1 Light Ash Brown (Virgin Asian Hair)

Hey there ^^
I decided to try lightening my hair colour since I've never done anything to it, ever. So i thought since it's a new year, why not? :P.

My hair colour is the average asian - thick and dark brown/black. I thought of it as an experiment since i know it's quite difficult to lighten dark asian hair. As long as it didn't turn out orange, i'm happy haha. Target had 40% off L'oreal hair dyes so it came down to $10.50 each. I bought 2 boxes cos my hair's quite long, almost waist length (bought the last 2 boxes in-store lol!).

I chose this colour because I had read online that when dyeing dark hair, brown = brown/black, medium brown = brown, light brown = medium brown, dark blonde = light brown. I contemplated over getting medium brown or light brown, and went with the lighter one hoping it'd at least be noticeable on my hair.

L'oreal Excellence Creme 6.1 Light Ash Brown:
The box included instructions, gloves, protective serum, colouring creme, developer, and conditioning balm.

The colour the box claims, but my hair was legit black so i did not expect much colour to come out.

 Before and After:
So my hair actually turned out brown yay!

You can't really see in the photo, but in real life the crown of my head is actually lighter than the bottom. It kind of looks like reverse ombre? T.T haha. The top looks like a really light brown/borderline orange? The bottom is more of a true dark brown.

My friend who dyed it for me thinks that this happened either because 1. We did the top roots first and may have left it for too long, 2. All the parts we applied protective serum on (ends of the hair) did not come out as light because it needed longer time to develop.
I actually prefer the darker colour but I'm happy with the result! :)

This hair dye has a very noticeable smell, but it's not too chemically and took about half a day to fade away.

Hope this was helpful to someone~ thank you for reading!

Fujifilm Instax Mini 8 in Pastel Blue

Heya:)

I've been wanting a polaroid camera for myself ever since i was about 7 or 8. I remember my cousin had one where it was a long rectangle shape and the films were around 2cmx3cm; I was incredibly jealous haha!

Overtime I realised that having a digital camera is way more practical for obvious reasons (taking as many photos as you want, edit/delete, importing uploading, etcetc). But the little thrill of an instant printed photo is just not the same :P.

I came across the mini instax 8 whilst browsing online, and was immediately drawn to all the pretty colours! The advertising is also super cute >_<!
Baby blue is my absolute love, so I decided to go with that colour (but the pink is also adorbs!).

I ordered it off ebay (link) for around $175, including the camera, 100 films, and a close up lens. The shipping was amazingly fast! Usually items from Japan take almost a month to arrive in Sydney AUS (the estimated date was 1st March), but this one arrived in exactly one week (Ordered on 12th Feb, arrived 19th Feb)! Was super impressed :).

I haven't used it properly yet, only took that one sample shot. I really hope the 100 films will last a while, cos they're pricey! :P Will do a review after I use it a few times :).

Thank you for reading ^_^

Valentines 2013

Hello! ^^
I hope everyone had a really lovely valentines day! This year was my boyfriend and I's fourth year celebrating :).

I received this gorgeous beauty and I couldn't have been more happy! It's so beautiful, this photo doesn't even do it justice. I've worn it everyday for a week now, and i can't keep my eyes off it lol! I'll post a review on this watch after a few weeks of wear :).

We celebrated on the 13th Feb instead of on the actual date because of work, and also because the restaurant we wanted to go to was booked out on the 14th two weeks prior! The restaurant is called Cafe Opera located inside Intercontinental Hotel Sydney.

When we arrived at the hotel, I couldn't believe my eyes when i saw a Vera Wang Bridal Boutique! I never knew they had one in Sydney haha. All the dresses were so stunning, I think we stood there for 10 minutes just admiring them haha!

We arrived at the buffet just as they were opening, so I got to take some pictures of how beautiful the food looked xD. The atmosphere there was really pleasant and the service was amazing.

FYI: Oysters are my favourite food in the world hehe. Their smoked salmon was amazeballs, and the dessert was really pretty! I loved the fruit salad, it had fresh blueberries and lychee in it! Oh and the wagyu beef was amazing too.

Cafe Opera is on the pricier side ($70 pp) but i really do think it's worth it for the food, service and atmosphere. I recommend going there for the experience on any special occasions ^^

What I got on the 14th:
The Longchamp Planetes feels much more sturdy than the Le Pilage. I love the overall black colour, it looks so much more classy whereas the Le Pilage with the brown leather is much more casual.

That's all for now :). Thank you for reading, and have a great week!
